答案:(B) Eventually

解析

語意「最終,這個習俗傳遍了歐洲」,Eventually(最終)符合這種事件發展的時間順序;Precisely(精確地)、Additionally(此外)、Literally(字面上地)都不合。

把這一段的時間鏈拉出來看:In 1582 教宗頒行新曆 → 有些人仍在 4 月 1 日過新年 → 另一些人開始捉弄這些守舊派 → 空格 → the practice spread throughout Europe and the rest of the world(這個習俗傳遍歐洲與世界其他地方)→ Nowadays(現今)。

eventually(最後、終於,強調歷經過程)、in the end(最後、結果)、finally(最後、終於)、at last(終於,含等待已久的感覺)、spread throughout(傳遍……)、the rest of the world(世界其他地方)、precisely(精確地)、additionally(此外)、literally(字面上地)。
